Uh-oh.

Posted by SwitSexyThing at 10:28 PM 0 comments
I have noticed that this blog is very different from my previous blog.

If my blog then was action packed, this one is kinda mellow.

If my tabulas blog was always visited by a lot of people, even stalkers and envious women who thinks I am stealing their boyfriends, this one only has 800 visitors so far for the last two months that I have been active.

If my blog then was interesting, this one I feel is so-so.

So what's wrong?

It is either I became a boring person who is all work, work, work
OR
my writing now sucks.

Either way I need to shape up and fast!

I hope this blogpost is a little better than my last ones. For point of reference, you my visit my first blog. Link is here.

Colympics end is nearing...

Posted by SwitSexyThing at 10:08 PM 1 comments
...and I am at my wits end trying to tie everything up on a neat little knot for a big ending! The anticipation is giving me sleepless nights and multi tasking is taking a toll on me. It is hard to pretend that you are a sporty person when you are not. I don't like sports and it bores me to death and now I am learning everything at lighting speed so I can answer all the sports questions the companies throw me every weekends after the games. Thank god I'm a fast learner. The blasted thing gives me a head ache.

I would like to thank Bioessence for shouldering the trophies and if things go smoothly, even the cash prizes. I just have to find food stalls for the event so that we can earn an extra P25K. My coordinating, organizing and consultancy skills are really being put into the test with this event. After this I really am gonna drink myself into a stupor at our victory party! I cannot wait! Two more weeks to go!

Response to Those Defending the Cat Murderer

Posted by SwitSexyThing at 10:49 AM 1 comments
A member of Compassion and Responsibility for Animals (CARA) has written this piece as response to those people who are defending the cat murderer. I'm reporting it here since I agree with her 100%.

Compassion for Animals

I am deeply bothered and angered by the actions, attitude and frame of mind of Joseph Carlo Candare who killed the kitten at UP Diliman and the people who are defending his torture and cruelty to animals. But my anger will not do anything, so I decided to write this letter to try to enlighten you to the side of the Animal Welfare Advocates. I feel that I might be one of those people who have the right to say something about this because I was once had no love for animals and I do understand where you are standing right now, because I once stood there too. I never condoned the torturing of animals, even as a child, but I too was indifferent to their suffering for the majority of my life.

Our Rights and Power

There is no doubt, that we are the most powerful and the most intelligent being on earth. The fact that we dominated the earth and all the living creatures in it, is a very clear proof, we earned the right to be here and dominate this world. One does not need to rely on Biblical annotation to know this.

We made changes to this world, we continue to advance, whether for the better or for worse, our own welfare should be first. Every place we go to, we conquer, and everytime we do, other creatures lose their homes.

For those of you who will argue using the Bible:

In the Bible, Genesis 1:29, Humans and Animals were suppose to be Vegetarian, that is how God wanted it to be. But on Genesis 9 God made a covenant with Noah, giving us humans the right over all the animals. The reason why God gave mankind the power over all animals is because of Noah's effort to save the animals from the great flood. It wasn't given to him for nothing, He took responsibility and because of this, he was fit to rule them, he has earned that right.

As the ruler of this world, how do you wish to rule those who are under you? Is cruelty, senseless killing and torture your answer? Be very scared, because if you believe in God, then we too are in the exact same position as the animals, we too are under Someone elses mercy (God), and we will not want God to be doing the same to us. We have read the Bible, it is through our responsibility that Power was given to us over the animals.

If you happen to believe in God, how can you expect mercy from Him? How can you expect mercy from the master if you as a master have no mercy? Matthew 18:23-35

Just as what the movie Spiderman says, With Great Power comes Great Responsibility.

Like I said before, I once stood where you are standing right now, I do not expect you to share the same passion with the Animal Welfare Advocates, just as I do not share the same passion with the "Tree Huggers". I do not have to share their passion to know that what they are doing is noble. I do not cry when a tree is cut down, but I do not pass by a tree and just start cutting them and kicking them. What will be the purpose? I have no moral conflicts with killing animals for food but PLEASE do not defend cruelty as it is a whole different story. It has absolutely no place in a civilized society who understand that each one of us, including the animals deserves compassion from those who have the power. At one point in your life, you were under someone else's mercy, you should understand that this is the position each one of us, including your family and all your loved ones have to face in this life. Lucky for us we have laws that protect us, lucky for us we have a voice, and have the ability to say what we have in mind and what we feel. When the tables turn around and you are on the side that seeks mercy, do not expect for it if you cannot give mercy to those who are under yours.

Do you really wish to live in a society where there is no protection for the weak, and cruelty is widely accepted? Come on, think about it, you are not Bill Gates nor the President of the United States or the Philippines, and even if you are, do you think you will never ever need mercy?

For those who say "it's just a stupid cat", please remember that we Filipinos were once considered "stupid Indios" by the Spaniards, we were treated the same way you treat animals now. We were called "stupid Indios" and mistreated for the same reason you mistreat animals and call them stupid. It was because we didn't have the same technology, advancement and Power the Spaniards had. We fought for our rights, but without the help of those who have the power, those who were strong enough to stand up for us, without their COMPASSION, we will still be considered "stupid Indios" up to this moment.

I believe that Human race is one body with different parts and each part have different functions. There are those who help the environment, there are those who help humans, and there are those who help the animals. Different functions but equally important, as we all know without the balance, this world would have never existed and without this continued balance it will cease to exist.

I do not ask for you take responsibility, I only ask for your compassion towards the animals and all the living creatures on earth. I do not ask for you not to eat meat, I only ask that when you do, please avoid torture, the animals are already sacrificing so we may live, is torture really necessary? I ask that if you do not want to take responsibility please do not get in the way or condemn those who wish to. If you happen to have seen the movie Idiocrasy, there is a nice line in there that goes like this, "Either lead, follow, or get out of the way". Pick your choice.

Although I do not agree with the positions many of you have taken in your (hate) emails to the Animal Welfare Advocates (those of you who are defending Joseph's cruelty). I applaude you for taking a stance. Our greatest obstacle in our battle to educate people in compassion for all living things is apathy or indifference. I hope that because you have taken the time to make your feelings known on this topic that you will continue educating yourself to the plight of all living creatures on this planet.

I spoke to a gentleman from the United States that has lived here for the past 3 years. He stated that the laws are very strict in the USA against those who abuse animals. He also said that he did not noticed that there are more people cruel to animals here than in the USA. As anywhere in the world there are people whose nature is to be cruel or out of ignorance choose to do cruel acts. The difference, he said, is that here so many people look away when they see the suffering and injustices. They are afraid to stand up even when they wish to. Most people by nature are not cruel in their heart but it takes a strong person to stand against the norm of indifference and stand up against those who choose to be cruel.

I hope one day you will also be on the side of compassion but mostly I am writing this letter to let you know that even if you too are indifferent to the kingdom in which you are the master, please do not stand in the way of those that are trying to better the kingdom for all.

I have written a long letter, I have so many things to say, but there is only one question that I want you to consider...

Given that we have dominion and power over all animals, How do you wish to rule?

Kind Regards,
Donna Maddox
Member of Compassion and Responsibility for Animals (CARA)
http://www.caraphil.org

Note: Although I am a member of CARA and I stand with the side of all the Animal Welfare Advocates, my opinions does not necessarily concise the entirety of what our organization and other Animal Welfare Advocates fight for nor what it stands for. What I wrote above is my personal opinion, and if you have comments please contact me through this website. Thank You.

******

I am joining CARA and PAWS officially next week and I encourage you to do the same. If you love animals and want a better world for them too like we do, please support CARA and PAWS. Thank you.

Last Monday, the news about the cat murderer was featured in the news.

For the latest Philippine news stories and videos, visit GMANews.TV

The report didn't really contain much and if you found out the news first hand on this report your emotions will not really be stirred. It failed to say it was a defenseless kitten, doing nothing to JC Candare. It failed to say that the University is doing something about it already and that people from all over has shown concern over this and helping the cause. It fdidn't mention that legal action is already being done. And of course, it didn't say who it was. The defense was that they have no one to interview to say the story on a first account basis. But as far as we know, no one have been contacted by GMA. We were a little dissapointed but personally, I am also a little relieved. It will still give us time to prepare our ammunition before this thing really blow out of proportion.

On Morals and Frienships

Posted by SwitSexyThing at 9:22 AM 2 comments
I was watching Friends yesterday on cable while getting dressed for work. The episode is about Phoebe's very nice new boyfriend Gary wanting to ask her to move in with him. Finally Phoebe agreed but dumped him the next day.

Why?

Apparently, Gary, very nice Gary, shoots at birds when he gets irked at their chirping in the morning. And Phoebe saw this first hand so she dumped him.

This is very similar to the Candare incident, the student who killed a little kitten in broad daylight. In front of his friends. His friends who are still with him now. I just feel disappointed. Because if it was me, our friendship would have ended right there and then. I refuse to be friends with a monster. And obviously, I haven't known the real him until then. I wanna cheer at Phoebe right there and then because she is strong enough to stand by her beliefs. And she won't be bullied by a man to stand by him even if she already knows what he is doing is wrong. Ending the friendship won't mean you are a bad friend. It will mean that you know the difference between right and wrong.

Updates:

* We named the kitty Teng Teng like my Teng Teng Whitie.
* GMA covered the story last night at 24 Oras and Saksi thou lacking in information.

A Little Kitty Killed by a Stupid Demented JC Candare

Posted by SwitSexyThing at 11:54 AM 4 comments
I was really enraged when I have read this note on The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) which was posted by another member. It is about their dear little kitty who was brutally murdered by some demented boy. The little kitty was really a stray but it was being cared for by the guard, students and faculty of the National Institute of Physics Building. She was so loved by many that they were aghast to see her little body lifeless. Apparently, somebody threw her out in the air wrestling style then took a running start to finally stomp the kitten in the torso. It was a wonder the kitten was not squished to death right there and then. It was so gruesome, so uncalled for, so demented that everybody was so sadden and mad about this issue. And what's more blood boiling is the fact that this devil was so proud and happy of what he has done! No remorse what so ever! And he even boasted of killing another kitty in the future! Why do we know this? He posted the damn thing in his blog in multiply! Unfortunately, due to the now numerous comments that has been made, the appalling post has been made private but not without me getting some screen shots and getting a copy of his post first!

The entry:

4th Epic Fail: An Accidental Crime. First day sa supercon. Lunch time came. On our way out of old NIP I saw the cat I almost killed last Tuesday. Now everyone knows I hate cats. It's an unexplainable feeling towards them. Like some internal hatred. Hindi ko talaga alam kung bakit pero anumang pagpipigil sa sarili ay hindi sapat upang mapangibabawan ang panggigil ko sa mga pusa. I pulled it on its tail and threw it. Then like some pro wrestler I jumped on it and my feet landed on it's torso. Slam! Felt good! But the cat didn't die, well not yet. It ran for it's life and just as I was about to catch up on it somebody yelled: "Pwede bang pabayaan mo yung pusa?!". It was instant and involuntary. I stopped on my tracks. Nobody ever stopped me when assaulting cats. Well I guess there's always a first time for everything. The cat got away. Or at least that's what i thought. So we went to lunch Mel, Jayson, Tracy and me. After lunch, balik na sa kung anumang naiwang gawain. Then Tracy and Mel told me " Hui Jc napatay mo yung pusa". Hours later, habang abala sa XRD, a guy came in. Tanong niya: "Sinong pumatay dun sa pusa?" Bang! Dat was me boi. Guilty as charged. I didn't see it die pero sabi ni Myles it coughed up blood or at least something like that daw. Didn't realize I gave it a fatal hit. This isn't the first time I've killed a cat but this time it's different. It didn't occur to me back then that the cat had a leash. So I think somebody owns it. Well it's very well loved in NIP from what I heard and I just ended it's life.

So there you go I'm sorry. And I wont be striking another one for maybe about a month. It feels good when your beating it(a cat) up but you suddenly feel something strange when it turns off permanently. That's how I feel right now. And maybe for the next days. Dang, am I a cat serial killer?

I can feel my skin crawl.

How can someone do something like that to a defenseless little being is beyond me. I was so angry that I called him names; even told him to kill himself because the Philippine doesn't need another pabigat. But calling him names won't stop his deeds and me, together with some members of PAWS, are now in a quest to stop this psycho. Yeah, psycho. Hinde matino ang pag-iisip ng mga taong ganito. And it is such a known fact that seriel killers start their career by killing small animals first. Will we wait for me to turn into one?

For now we are pursuing him. We want him jailed. I am so thankful and happy that there is really a law that we can exercise to stop this psycho: The Animal Right Bill 8485. As of press time, a lot of people are already involved. Even people from the US are already getting involved. We have already contacted PAWS, The Animal Welfare Coalition and Care and Responsibility for Animals (CARA). Someone already wrote to the Chancellor of UP (yeah, dungis!) to have him expelled. Angel, the original poster of the note, has already talked with the witnesses and will talk to the faculty who are willing to file a case against this guy. We are also compiling more information about him to make the case stronger. PAWS has told us we can use their lawyers.

Now what we further do? Spread the word! Let it be known to many what kind of person he is so that many will be aware of his demonic acts! Repost his blog post and photos. Spread his friendster profile, which by the way is http://profiles.friendster.com/10632111. Tell him how you feel!

Guys, he needs to pay and learn his lesson! Let's all be united in this. last night, I could not sleep because I was really disturbed by this incident. I took my kitten Whitie to bed with us. The same Whitie who I looked for day and night - at my neighbor's abandoned house, at our rooftop, and everywhere I can possibly think of - when her mother hid her from us because we are always cuddling her. Anyway, i kept waking up to check if she is alright in my thigh sleeping soundly. I kept imagining the kitten getting sq1uashed to death and sometimes imagining it was Whitie getting the fatal hit. I hate this guy to pieces and I won't rest until he gets what he deserves. I pray to God that he will be the last cat killer I encounter.

On Love and Sharing

Posted by SwitSexyThing at 12:05 PM 2 comments
In a world where almost everybody is jaded and selfish, it is so refreshing to watch a story about a love that is so strong that is has conquered a lot of boundaries.

I was holed up in my mother-in-law's house last Saturday and I have nothing to do but watch TV. Jay is sleeping at the floor in a mat beside the sofa I was reclining in. I just finished watching the TV Marathon of Santino/My Bukas Pa and unlike Jay I am still not sleepy so I decided to watch Maalaala Mo Kaya. I was so touched by the story that I was misty eyed (yah, misty eyed only. I hate crying; I hate drama. Haha!) all through out the show. You see, the girl was sick (played by Jodie Sta. Maria) and has only 6 months to live actually, but that didn't stop the boy (played by Baron Geisler) to love her with all his heart. So powerful is his love that he believed that the girl will surpass her 6 months taning. He prayed to God so hard daily to lengten the life of his beloved and God did! They ended up getting married (He married her on before the 6 month taning is up. Such faith!) and having 2 children. Hubby doesn't want to have children at first since the doctor said she is not totally cured and she can end up dead but the the woman insisted and because it will make her happy, hubby consented. It was so touching and heartwarming to know that such man and such love exist! It trully is a miracle of love, this story, and perfect for the Holy Week. I know I'll be telling this story over and over again especially to singletons out there that are moaning and losing hope that the man for them is still out there. I was trully insipred!

*****

I was writting this piece when an outburst of some sort caught my attention. Some officemate of mine is having a tirade for having received a solicitation letter from UNICEF. In his words (translated to Tagalog since it was said in Kapampangan): "Bakit naman ganun? (referring to the letter he received) Lahat ba tayo me ganito? Yiiii!" Sabay hampas ng letter ng UNICEF sa table nya. Another co-worker seems to be in agreement with him thou not expressing in verbally. I can just see her agreeing eyes.

I was in total disbelief. Are these people for real? I mean, you don't have to give if you don't want to. But to have a tirade over it? Oh, man! ANG DAMOT NYO! I can't help but retort: "UNICEF yan, international org na tumutulong sa mga tao. Buti naman nagbigay sila ng ganyan para makapagbigay tayo. Balak ko talaga magbigay. Nagbibigay talaga ako sa mga ganyan. Wala lang, para makatulong naman diba? Di ka naman magugutom sa magkano na ibibigay mo."

That shut them up. The guy who was so irked by the letter walked out of the office.

What has this world come to? Are we that materialistic and unkind that we are unwilling to help others? That we are even outraged to their reaching out to us? What gets me the most is that these people are such braggarts - always bragging about their new stuff and where they have eaten and gone to. They are showing others that they have money to spend. So howcome they shut up when they have to shell out a measly amount to help someone?!

Two such different posts, eh? The irony of the world.

Financial Crisis Hits the Call Center Industry

Posted by SwitSexyThing at 9:24 PM 3 comments
It is so scary when a big company, such as Sykes Asia, is hit by the financial crisis. I know that the call centers and the government has given us assurance that the hiring won't stop but it is now very hard to ignore the facts. I have heard before from the grapevine that Accenture has laid off a lot of people with no account to transfer to. Then next is TRG. Some of its former employees even gave me their contacts so they can apply to my clients. And now, the latest is Sykes Asia! It came gradually, actually, the tell tale signs of poverty. First, they won't join the Colympics because, as we deduce, they can't afford it. They are giving us a lot of reasons but we didn't believe them especially when they haggled if they can join only two sports. They don't have 20K?! Oh my. Then came the P100/employee deduction from their employees outing fund. Then there will be no summer picnic anymore and shorter OT hours allowed. And now, the inevitable has happened. A 100+ engineers will either be forced to resign or have to settle for a lesser account because Sykes Asia lost their CISCO account! Apparenty, they also lost 2 or 3 accounts to Teleperformance and I dunno how recent this is but also 21 freaking accounts due to Emerson moving out. Ouch! Sykes Asia is considered to be a giant in the call center industry and it boast of being one of the pioneers here in the Philippines. Seeing this happening to them really scares me. No one is safe anymore!

Tragedy in Banaue

Posted by SwitSexyThing at 11:08 PM 2 comments
This Holy Week is proving to be one of the saddest I've ever known as one of the Presidential Choppers plument to a fiery death together with 8 government officials this Holy Tuesday. The deaths are nobody's fault since the crash is being attributed to bad weather. Let's just think that they are now with the Lord and happy. They all had led meaningful lives in this world as they have served our country until their last breath.

Boyet Fajardo Follow Up Story

Fair Weather Friends are sooo Damn Easy to Find

Posted by SwitSexyThing at 11:42 AM 2 comments
Fair weather friends: Friends that are only there when they need something from you but are never, never, NEVER there when you need them.

Samples:

1. You are in a hospital for an operation. All your other friends came to visit except FWF. Her excuse? She's very busy. FWF factor: The hospital you are confined in is just across her office building. After a few weeks, you find your phone always ringing because FWF is always calling you up. The reason: She is asking every question she can think of to land the same scholarship that you have. I thought she is busy? So why the every two minute phone call?

2. You are interrupted by phone calls and incessant text messages that always happen in the most unusual hours because everytime you are needed by FWF he doesn't care even if it's the middle of the night to ring/text you up. FWF factor: When it's your turn to ask for a favor or even to invite FWF to a party/event that is important in your life, your phone calls and text messages go unanswered. Even if the event is at the same vicinity/compound as FWF's work is (Meralco Compund), he still can't spare a minute for his "dear" friend.

The second FWF irked me the most because as of press time, he has the gall to get angry at me and hubby for asking something that belonged to us which is a taco used for billiards. You see, this taco is very important since this was given by hubby's ate in Saudi. FWF borrowed it last year and gauging from the months that went by has no intentions of giving it back soon. He has a history of borrowing things from hubby and not giving it back like the time hubby was "borrowing" slacks from him only to find out that the slacks he was "borrowing" was his in the first place. FWF didn't give it back for two years. And what's irksome is, he didn't acknowledge that he just borrowed it from Jay. He let his mom believe that Jay was the one borrowing the slacks. Hmp. I actually don't need it the darn taco, as I have mentioned in the demand text I sent him. I just want it back because I really got so mad at the thought that hubby was contacting him since December to 1. invite him to our company's gig last Christmas 2. invite him to come with us as we visit one of their close friends from college 3. invite him to Nanay's birthday celebration 4. invite him to w@w's anniversary party since he was supposedly getting married and finally 5. to ask for his support as we open the Colympics last March 28 which happened at Meralco where he just happens to work. I just hate the thought that Jay is lookinng like a fool as he call and text him incessantly and he doesn't even have the curtesy to answer the darn call or text back a reply. And I won't accept the excuse that he doesn't have celfone load because we are using Sun Cellular because that's his celphone provider and we all know for a fact that Sun has unlimited call and text so if he really wants to call us and text us he can very well do so for it's for FREE. He switched to Sun so that he can contact his girlfriend, whom I really don't like because of her social climbing tendencies. The ironic thing in that scenario is I wrote the stupid love letters this guy gave to her to win her over. Yuck, if only I've known what kind of girl she is and what kind of guy Jay's friend really is then I wouldn't have lifted a finger to help them get together. Anyway, I've had enough! This guy has been using us for quite some time now and I want to get back even just a little and the last thing he borrowed from us is that taco where he called Jay like 10:30PM to tell him he went to their house to borrow that thing but he wasn't there and Jay was not answering his text messages because as usual Jay was so busy to reply back and so he decided to call him up even if it's late at night and Jay and I are both ready to retire in our bed. Such consideration eh just to get what he wants. So I texted him this last Sunday: "Ey. Paki soli na yung taco ni Jay within the week kelangan na kasi namin sa Colympics." (I didn't put thanks and why would I?" As usual, no reply from him so come Wednesday I texted him again this: "Ey, nasoli mona ba yung taco?" to which the fool replied (to our surprise because he actually replied): "Sensya na ha. Isasauli kona!" Notice the exclamation point? But I didn't put any meaning to it because I never pegged him as someone who knows his punctuation marks and I don't think there is something offending in my text messages. After all, I phrased my messages politely and isn't the taco ours to demand? But apparently, he was indeed mad as Nanay told us how rude he was with her when we handed back the taco he borrowed from us eons ago.

Can you believe this guy?

I dunno what kind of values he has for being the way he is. He was known to be only there when his girlfriends break up with him. The last time he was single, he hanged out with me and Jay like a leech and when he got a girlfriend he was no where to be found except when he needs something. He was also known to be really matampuhin to things that he doesn't have the license to make tampo in the first place like the time he was borrowing wedding money from their rich friend (he was actually borrowing 300K coz that's the demand of the social climber girl friend else she'll break up with him which she did for 3 weeks) and when their friend didn't lend him the money he got mad and never talked to their friend again! He is that irrational! And so I am so mad at him now. So mad that I'm glad that he is mad at us so that he won't bother us again. People like that should be ditched. They are emotional vampires, sucking positive energy out of people. They are always taking and taking and when they don't have anything to take anymore, they drop you like a hot potato. Now who needs anybody like that? Definitely not us! So Jerome, goodbye! And please know that the only reason I still agreed to invite you in our wedding is so that I can rub to your faces what you can't afford and what you cannot have! Dream on!

Events of Different Kinds

Marie Jean Lacaba, the only female kidanap victim of the Abu Sayaff, has already been released! Thank God! I really feel for these people. I mean, they were there helping us Filipinos and this is the pay off they get. I am praying that the two more victims will also be released soon.

******
I was watching The Probe Team last night and they have a segment about Global Warming. That is one issue that is really making me worried. I vow to help out in my own little ways like organizing a tree planting event and pushing the Global Warming talk in the Colympics c/o WWF-Philippines. The thought of it just scares me to death! And imagine all the wild life that will suffer. Tsk.

I'll be having a bad hair day for at least 2 months. I have this horrible haircut since last Monday and I have been wearing my hair either in ponytail or in half a pony tail. It's a Korean cut wherein the ends are in shagi. It's not the haircut I specified! It is so hard to grow my hair and now I have to do it again since the shortest is a little below the chin. I so hate it! I feel so unpretty. Hmp.

THE W@W PARTY (March 20, 2009)

I have always been a laid back parson but one of my New Year's Resolutions this year is to have more fun and expose myself (and of course Jay) more. I have missed so much these part few years, especially during my college years in UP, because of laziness and wanting to sleep more. So for this year, I've had enough! I'm going to see more of what the world has to offer, at least until we have a baby where things like this would have to take a back seat.

The W@W Anniversary Party have all the elements I like in a party - pretty, never been to before place (it was held in Fernbrook Gardens), free and delish food (Josiah's catered this shindig together with numerous dessert providers like Joy San Gabriel, Claycakes just to name a few) and a chance to camwhore with all my heart's delight (hello, 7 photobooths!). So even if I have to play all my cards to drag Jay into it, I did, and I can say he also had fun especially when Kamikazee came out to play! I'm sure the cameraman had a blast filming me while I was jumping up and down in my very, very high heels!

The party also afforded us to meet w@wies like Sis Tess, whom I always chat with in the office but the party was the first time I met her, Sis Tess' hubby Paul, Sis Lhen and hubby Jerome and Sis Abby and hubby Matt. Of course there was Sis Imee and Mikee whom we are friends with since March 2008.

Another good thing about the W@W Party is that it gave birth to another great event idea which I plan on throwing (aha, a hint!) this summer.

THE COLYMPICS OPENING (March 28, 2009)

I've been slaving away for months for this event. Since January I've been eating, sleeping and breathing Colympics and finally it was opened! The event venue is not as fully packed as I have hoped but I was still happy nontheless. People, especially bosses, have been approching me non stop to say that they were having fun and that they are happy to be there. Honestly, there were a lot of glitches but none really affected the event that much and for that I am thankful. Last night, the Colympics coverage finally aired at News Central on Studio 23. I was thrilled and a little nervous to see my baby on TV. And as I have hoped, the Colympics was telegenic! Now I can't wait to have my photos on magazines.

Now did I cover all my backlog now?

Oh, my congratulations to WWF for a successful Earth Hour which was the same day as the opening of the Colympics. That's the reason why our friends from WWF cannot grace the event to open it. I have always been an earth and animal lover so for the Colympics I decided to share all the profits to WWF-Philippines! I have always wanted to be a scientist, marine biologist and environmentalist when I was younger but since I don't know where I'll get employment for those careers, I decided to be practical and get a career that will put food on my plate. I can still help saving the Earth in other ways, right? Right. Anyway, congratulations again! March 28 is a good day for the planet!
